Today’s Gift Idea: Fisher Apollo 11 50th Anniversary Space Pen

In October 1888, a patent was issued for an invention that would transform our world – the ballpoint pen. Many thought the simple and elegant design could not be improved. In the 1960s, Paul C. Fisher shocked the world when he designed a pen that would boldly go where no pen had gone before. Fisher’s pen, known as the space pen, could do what no other pen could do: withstand the extreme conditions of space.

This Special Edition Bullet Space Pen has the same pressurized ink refill cartridge used on the Apollo 11 mission. In fact, space explorers still use it on all manned space flights today. There’s nothing this pen can’t handle.  It works in zero gravity, upside down, underwater, on dry surfaces, and in extreme temperatures. It is a classic gift that is sure to please any space history buff and makes a fantastic addition to any Apollo mission collection.
